Leading Cybersecurity 8570.01-M school cuts ribbon to newest location nearby Army’s Cyber Training Headquarters at Fort Gordon, GA.
SecureNinja, https://secureninja.com/ , the leading Cybersecurity training and services company in Washington, DC, Virginia and San Diego announces the opening its newest training center outside of Fort Gordon, GA. The strategic launch coincides with the US Army’s plan to consolidate cyber training into a Cyber Center of Excellence in Fort Gordon designed to "unify and modernize" all cyber-related training efforts. The Army’s restructuring plan is the first step in a detailed outline of changes that will decide where the military will live and train for years to come. Since late June, federal leaders have advocated that expanding cyber training operations at Fort Gordon – which also houses a National Security Agency cryptology lab – is necessary for the Army to offset the 21st century’s "emerging cyber threat" and in turn, accomplish its main goal of becoming more "lethal, agile, adaptable and responsive."
SecureNinja’s newest training center will be the closest cybersecurity training center adjacent to Fort Gordon and is located at 441 Park West Augusta, Georgia 30813. The move to Augusta will run parallel to Army’s own trainings and enable personnel to travel a short distance off base to attend vendor neutral and vendor specific training, such as EC-Council CEH, ISC2 CISSP, CompTIA Security+, PMP, ITIL, VMware training and more.
"SecureNinja’s new Fort Gordon location will complement the Army’s efforts by offering DoD 8570.01-M certification based courses in close proximity to their own cybersecurity center," said Ned Snow, President, SecureNinja. "We intend to provide skills that will ensure our country is better prepared to meet the threats posed by cyber criminals and complement the Pentagon's growing cyber efforts."
Training officers at Fort Gordon will also benefit from SecureNinja’s alignment of its course offerings with the recent NIST initiative; The National Initiative For Cybersecurity Education (NICE)™. The NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework offers a working taxonomy and common lexicon that can be overlaid onto any organization's existing occupational structure whereby they can:
This mapping of Secure Ninja training courses to the NICE Frameworks’ specialty areas/job titles simplifies the development of a training and education roadmap. All courses that fall into the NICE framework will be offered at the center. Watch a demo of SecureNinja NICE framework.
